Privacy policy

Last updated October 19, 2026
In short
  • We collect very little: your email if you join the newsletter, and your booking details if you're a guest.
  • We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics cookies.
  • You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information at any time by writing to contact@awaazexpo.com.

01What we collect

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. Our email provider, Kit, stores it and sends the newsletter. Kit may also record basic details such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.

Guest bookings. If we invite you on the show, your private guest page uses Cal.com to book a time. Cal.com collects the name, email address and any notes you enter, and sends your confirmation and recording link. When you book, we also use SignWell to email you a guest release to sign. SignWell receives your name and email address and keeps the signed release.

Recordings. If you're a guest, we record our conversation using Riverside so we can edit and publish it. How the recording is used is covered by what you agree to before we record.

Emails you send us. If you write to contact@awaazexpo.com, we keep your message and address so we can reply. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.

Basic technical information. Like any website, our host, Netlify, processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request so it can deliver the site and keep it secure. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address when a page loads.

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The booking calendar on guest pages is provided by Cal.com and may use its own cookies to work.

02How we use it

We use your information to send the newsletter you asked for, schedule and record conversations, reply to your messages, and keep the site running and secure. We don't use it for anything else.

03Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services that help us run Awaaz Expo: Kit (newsletter), Cal.com (booking), SignWell (guest releases), Riverside (recording), Netlify (hosting, and internal alerts if a guest release fails to send) and Google (fonts and email). Each handles your information under its own privacy policy.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests, listeners or ourselves.

04How long we keep it

We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe, booking details for as long as we need them to produce your episode, and emails for as long as they're useful to the conversation. Our service providers keep technical logs for their own limited periods.

05Your choices

Every newsletter includes a link to unsubscribe instantly.

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by writing to contact@awaazexpo.com. We'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as the EU, the UK or California, the law may give you additional rights. We honor these requests wherever you live.

06Children

Awaaz Expo isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we'll delete it.

07Where your information is processed

Awaaz Expo is based in Chicago, in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

08Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
